The Surf House

The atmospheric surf house is a traditional spanish country house in the middle of El Palmar just a few meters off the beach. The surf house can accommodate up to 8 people. There is satellite TV, DVD to watch movies and surf videos, internet access, playstation and a wood stove which makes it very cosy on cool winter nights.

In the back yard, there is a chill out area, skate ramp, a trampoline and indo-boards while bicycles are

available to discover the area.

Breakfast with cereals and fresh fruit from the area is at the house, lunch bags brought to the beach, and

dinner at local restaurants or at home. The surfhouse has its own kitchen garden and BBQ place where legendary dinners take place.

The surf lessons take place on the best spot depending on conditions, swells and winds. Our Instructors are

all highly qualified and experienced surf teachers speaking several languages as spanish, portuguese, english, french, dutch and german.

Food

Rich breakfast is served daily at the surf camp. Fresh fruit from the local market, cereals, yoghurt, bread, coffee, tea and juices are the essential things for a healthy start into a happy surfers day !

While breakfast you have the possibility to make your own sandwiches to bring along to the beach for lunch.

The Surf

Daily surf lessons to the best spots of the day, according to participants skills and sea conditions. No problem for complete beginners, who will receive all the necessary instruction to learn the basic skills to start surfing on their own. All surf school gear (surfboards, wetsuit, lycra etc.) is provided and you’re welcome to use it in your free time as well. The beach is only a 100m away from the surf house so you can just grab a board put on a wetsuit and walk to the beach for some extra practice.

For our week campers we also offer a special video analyzing class, that’s a great way to improve your surfing techniques.

After some  busy days of surfing your body will appreciate the Yoga class specially designed for surfers. Through specific stretching techniques you’ll improve your flexibility and relax your muscles and mind.

The Climate

During the winter months el palmar is the surfers mecca on the south coast of spain as it is the warmest place to surf in whole Europe over the winter months ! Thanks to its sunny and warm climate it’s the perfect way to escape your cold and wet winter !

The waves are very consistent and the water temperature doesn’t fall below 16°C .

The Nights

Dinner is not included in the package price as we mostly move around to local restaurants or organized dinners. Once a week we fire up the grill for a delicious BBQ !

There are some bars along the beach, one of them with live music once a week. In Conil, the village next to El Palmar, you find cafés, bars and clubs for some more fun after sunset.

You can also just stay at the surf house, read, watch TV, have a go on the playstation or keep on surfing on the internet.
